Description
A supreme Guard's Coat where British elegance and modern lightness converge.
A double-breasted coat with an overwhelming presence has been born, based on the "Guard's Coat" which has its roots in the uniforms of British Royal Guards. While retaining the appearance of European military officers' overcoats from the early to mid-20th century, its most striking feature is the strikingly bold wide lapel that gracefully frames the face. This is a garment that pursues the ultimate comfort using modern technology.
■ Material
Pecolamb Beaver (s100 raw material)
We use "Pecolamb Beaver" made from high-quality Super 100's raw material by one of Japan's leading textile manufacturers. It achieves both a beautiful luster and a surprising "lightness and warmth" the moment you pick it up. This is MADE IN JAPAN quality, woven in the Bishu region, Japan's largest woolen textile producing area, and dyed and finished in Bishu's dyeing factories.
We intentionally chose Super 100's. This allows us to achieve both the profound luster unique to beaver finishing, which cannot be expressed with ultrafine fibers above 110's, and the durability for long-term use. Its characteristic is the "thick, luxurious feel" that you understand the moment you pick it up.
・Luxurious velvet upper collar
The upper collar, which determines the impression around the face, is luxuriously adorned with velvet fabric. The contrast of different materials adds an aristocratic elegance to its classic appearance.
■ Design
A boldly wide lapel and a long length that gracefully flows down to the knees. It has a volume that is irresistible to classic lovers, looking stylish just by throwing it on.
・Carefully selected "covered buttons"
We intentionally used covered buttons made from the same material as the body. By eliminating ornamentation, the quality of the fabric and the beauty of the tailoring are accentuated.
・Half-canvas construction
By using a half-canvas internally, the three-dimensional feel of the chest is firmly maintained. Contrary to its substantial appearance, it achieves a light wearing comfort that does not feel heavy on the shoulders.
・Functional beauty that speaks for itself in the back
The true essence of this coat lies in its back style.
Back belt & inverted pleat
From the half-belt that makes the waist appear higher, a deeply carved inverted pleat extends downwards. And the distinctive "side slit."
【Why is there an opening at the side?】
This is a remnant from the era when military officers wore swords at their waists. It's a practical detail designed to allow one to smoothly reach for the hilt of a sword through the slit without having to take off the coat. In modern times, the fabric dramatically spreads with every step, creating a sense of graceful dynamism along with ease of movement.
"Wearing history, walking in the present."
We invite you to experience this meticulously crafted garment, truly worthy of being called a lifelong treasure.
